One of my favorite little angels that I get to photograph... Miss O.  I photographed her here at four months, here at eight months and again just a few days ago when she turned one. I am so excited to do series like these and I look forward to the Three-Edition album they are planning to put together with photos from each session.

This little princess is so loved, not just by mom and dad but by her two big brothers as well.  What a lucky girl to have so many hugs and kisses from everyone around her.  Here is our latest little adventure.  We got a great day after another rainstorm.

Now that I have appeared to survive being sick for so long, I am playing catch-up on all the jobs I've got going on.  I'm not complaining, I just need more hours in the day. That's not asking for much is it?

It helps to have this next session waiting for you to go through.  We had to postpone this shoot twice because of the rainstorms, but man, it was worth it.  We ended up with a gorgeous afternoon as we meet up in Venice and a picture perfect sunset.  Sandra and Kevin's first date was in Venice and since they are the outdoorsy type we had a lot of fun shooting around the beach and canals.  I used to live down here and I MISS IT!

I had a real tough time picking a handful of images to show you all.  I think that's because of the combo of gorgeous people, amazing light, funky locations and, um, gorgeous people... can't wait for your wedding in May!

I love the way Sandra was always looking at Kevin.  I have so many of these sweet glances that I could do a whole post just using those.

I'm excited about heading out to the WPPI convention in March. I am mostly excited about the trade show and getting some info on new and green products.  Especially the green stuff.  I am trying to go more and more green since that is the way I live my personal life but I have had a hard time finding vendors of high quality that share these same values.

I will be there from March 7-10.  If you live in Vegas and would like to schedule a portrait session with me during those dates, please contact me as soon as possible so I can get you scheduled!  Can't wait to get some great shoots done in this fab city!

Last time I was in Vegas, I think I was still shooting with film exclusively! Or maybe just starting to dabble with that digital stuff.  Needless to say, it's been a while but I have my Elvis glasses and I'm ready to go!

I had a wonderful engagement session yesterday in Venice and driving home on PCH, found this beautiful vision ahead of me.  Shot with my iPhone, while at a red light, thank you very much.

I love music. You will often find song title's as titles to my posts. I set everything to a song, even if it's only in my mind. I was doing playlists way before iTunes made it so easy. (Anyone else remember spending hours with their tape recorder held up to the speaker to record the songs playing on their turntables?) I still have most of my albums and I bet you I could tell you how, where and when I got each one.  A song can come on the radio, and like certain scents, it will take me back, just like that, to a moment in my life where I had heard it before. Case in point... America's 'Horse with No Name'... every time I hear it I am immediately in Danny Beastroms mom's dark green Mustang on the way to kindergarten.

I realize I'm outing myself by confessing that I am a child of the 70/80's and that many of my musical influences are from bands of that time (although certainly not limited to).  Anyone that knows me can tell you I'd give anything for face time with Tom Petty... although I would probably faint if it ever happened and completely embarrass myself! And certainly The Knack was a huge part of those years.  I can remember seeing them at The Forum in LA, when My Sharona hit big, although they had tons of other great songs - Oh Tara, just one of my favs.

About four years ago they played a local concert by my house in Woodland Hills and I stood by the back doors like a groupie for half an hour waiting for the band to come out and sign my original Get The Knack album. And they did.  They were so great and genuine and the lead singer Doug Fieger talked to me for awhile about that Forum show, living in Woodland Hills, performing and more. He was so kind.

They last performed at this local venue two summers ago and I was pleased to be able to photograph them for their web site.  Although I was aware of Doug's battle with cancer, I never thought this would be the last time I would see them perform live.  Doug passed away in Woodland Hills, just yesterday. His voice, his lyrics, his heart will be missed.
