Joy's sister contacted me about her sister's wedding only a few months back.  She wanted to treat them to a professional photographer as her gift to them.  I love when families are this close and their friends are so close too you almost can't distinguish between the two types of love. Their wedding was full of beauty and joy, silliness and emotion, and Joy, I'm so glad your sister called me!

Although Joy and Ryan were both born in the Philippines, it wasn't until their families moved over 7000 miles away, that they meet and fell in love.  That is fate. They said their 'I Do's' on a beautiful afternoon at the Wedgewood Banquet Center in Ventura, bringing their families, friends and love together.

I am such a dork. My office has been closed for a week and will be until after July 4.  You wouldn't know that though would you?  Because the post I created before we left for vacation never got posted!  Why?  Because I'm a dork.  Or maybe because I don't work as well at one in the morning as I do during the day.  I left the post in draft mode and there it sat while my family took off to a much needed vacation in Yosemite.

I will be skipping my monthly newsletter as well so look out for a double issue next month!

I will leave you with an image from the trip, more to come soon.

I should have named this post "Passionate Kisses".  When I told Emma and Claude to be themselves, they couldn't keep their hands off each other!  These guys are so cute together! They live in Virginia and just got engaged so they called me up for some engagement photos during their vacation here in LA. Once they told me they wanted some thing "different" and what their interests were, I knew we'd have a blast driving around Hollywood.

We started at Sweet Lady Jane for some delicious cupcakes.

These are the kind of photos I would want for myself. I am a huge fan of vinyl and Amoeba Records is heaven to me. They stocked up on their vinyl wish list while I snapped away.

I've been dying to do this for sometime now and Emma and Claude where the perfect couple so I brought along a few of my own albums for us to play with!

We ended our evening over at the LACMA for some evening shots. Very appropriate since Emma works for a huge lighting company. Thank you Emma and Claude - you two are so perfect together!

When I meet with Nicole and Freddie over a year ago to discuss their wedding, we got excited right away talking about locations for the engagement session.  I knew that we'd get some great images, what with them being so stinkin' cute and I just love Freddie's freckles.  (I guess I have a thing for freckles because I always mention them, don't I?)

Anyhow, the date finally arrived and we headed up to the Griffith Observatory on a beautiful California day for some great, classic architecture. Here are a few of my favs.  Make sure to vote for your favorite.
